Finally, after a long search [and a bit of fortune], I've purchased a watch suitable for formal wear.
It's a Casio EFR-523PB. Got it from Isetan Scotts for $128. Used Isetan vouchers from company lucky-draw, so only paid $38 cash.
As mentioned previously, I like the black-on-black "look". This watch goes even further, with a contrast of materials and texture, with a shiny metal rim, watch face with textured patterns, and a resin strap, which has an added advantage of making it a bit more "casual".
I like the green accents also, and the asymmetric layout on the dial.
The "fortune"? Spotted it a few weeks ago, and was researching more on the watch model. By the time I decided to purchase it, it was no longer on display.
After an email to Isetan (and a quick reply), it was back in stock. Had a last minute rethink when I spotted something else at Isetan [better save it for another article], but still eventually got it.
